PICNIC!! VEGAN!! MONDAY!?

WOW!! Who know Mondays could be so good!?

PICNIC were in Delamere C of E Academy for a pop up day to celebrate our Vegan Monday Club. PICNIC have created a healthy/Vegan fast food business in Liverpool serving up potato tornados, harissa bean burgers, nachos and much more. Sam & Lauren were a bag of energy and demonstrated how Vegan food could be fun, interesting and most of all seriously tasty.

When I arrived in Delamere there was a buzz around about lunch. The children seemed a little confused/intrigued when they heard "Potato Tornado". I was a little worried about the uptake, however I was pleased when the lunch numbers came in and it was a full uptake! When it came to lunch time the concerned children were served their food and sat down. I walked around the school hall to find smiley faces covered in salsa & sour cream.

We cannot wait to have PICNIC back again to serve up another vegan feast.
